About Prayer Breakfast

National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast 2024

Please note that the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast will not be taking place in 2024 due to it being an election year. We will be back again in 2025.

The National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast brings together over 700 MPs, Peers and church leaders gather together in the Houses of Parliament to pray for our Parliament, government and politics, to build relationships between church leaders and their local MPs, and to reflect upon the relevance of the Christian faith to our public life.

In 2023, the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast was chaired by Lord Curry of Kirkharle and took place on Tuesday 27 June 2023 in Westminster Hall. Our main speaker was Dr Amy Orr-Ewing, honorary lecturer at the University of Aberdeen School of Divinity, who addressed the theme of ‘The Power of Forgiveness in Public Life’.
