Lunchtime Reception to Celebrate the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty The Queen

Christians in Parliament were delighted to host a lunchtime reception to celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty The Queen in the State Rooms, Speaker’s House. The event was kindly hosted by the Revd Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Speaker’s Chaplain, and the Rt Hon Caroline Spelman MP, Second Church Estates Commissioner.

Over 100 people were in attendance to hear a short address from Mark Greene, Executive Director of LICC and author of ‘The Servant Queen and the King she serves’, which has sold over 900,000 copies. He spoke on the role the Queen’s faith has played throughout her life and reign.

We were delighted that Mr Speaker was able to attend and receive a gift on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen from the children of the House of Commons Nursery.
