MP Invitation Email for Attendees

Dear …..,

I am writing to invite you to come with me to the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast on 7 July, between 7:30 and 9:00am.

It will take place on Tuesday 7 July from 7:30am to 9:00am in Westminster Hall. The aims of the event are to pray for our parliament, government and politics, to build relationships between church leaders and their local MPs and to reflect upon the relevance of the Christian faith to our public life. The Breakfast is normally attended by The Speaker and Lord Speaker, leaders of the political parties, MPs, Peers and church leaders from all over the United Kingdom. The event is designed to be open to all parliamentarians, regardless of belief, and comprises formal prayers led by The Speaker’s Chaplain, Roman Catholic Duty Chaplain and a small number of parliamentarians, a main address, music and hymns.

Our theme this year is ‘Hope for the Future’ and our main speaker will be Clare Williams-Sarpong. Clare is an Associate Speaker at the OCCA, The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics and the founder of Real Questions. Music and singing will be led by the acclaimed American vocalist and composer, Ruth Naomi Floyd.

Due to high demand, tickets are only available to church leaders whose MP can attend with them. Each MP can come with up to two church leaders. Please do let me know if you can attend.

You will also need to book yourself into the event, and you should have received an invitation letter with details of how to book.  If you do not have your invitation letter, then please contact: jane.powell@parliament.uk.

Best wishes,
