What difference does Christian faith make to the Economy?

The Christians in Parliament APPG is pleased to be able to host a briefing and discussion with Sir Andrew Dilnot on the subject of, ‘What difference does Christian faith make to the Economy?’

Andrew Dilnot has been Warden of Nuffield College Oxford since 2012. He was the Chair of the UK Statistics Authority from 2012 to 2017 and the Chair of the Commission on the Funding of Care and Support, which reported in 2011. He was Principal of St Hugh’s College, Oxford from 2002 to 2012 and a Pro Vice Chancellor of Oxford University from 2005 to 2012. He was Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies from 1991 to 2002 and he is an Honorary Fellow of the British Academy.

By kind permission of Mr Speaker, The Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, the Christians in Parliament APPG are delighted to be able to host an evening lecture and discussion with Prof N.T. Wright.

N.T. (Tom) Wright was Bishop of Durham, 2003-2010, then Professor of New Testament in St Andrews until 2020. He is now semi-retired and working at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford. He is the author of more than 80 books at both academic and popular levels and has lectured and broadcast around the world.

A series of Tuesday lunchtime services in the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft, giving an opportunity for reflection in the midst of parliamentary life. The services last from 1:05pm to 1:40pm and include an opening hymn, a talk by a guest speaker and a closing hymn.

All Members and staff are very welcome at these services, regardless of faith.
