The 2020 National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast was livestreamed from Westminster Hall on Tuesday 30 June. The event was chaired by Marsha de Cordova MP and was watched live by over 3,000 parliamentarians, church leaders and Christians from across the UK, with many more watching afterwards.
The theme of this year’s breakfast was ‘Hope and peace in a time of fear and suffering’ and a keynote address on this topic was given by the Bishop of Kensington, the Rt Revd Dr Graham Tomlin. The programme also included prayers from parliamentarians, messages from the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition, and ‘Amazing Grace’ performed by singers and musicians from across the UK.
